In my classroom we regularly participate in fitness activities and have embraced the concept of crossfit. We have five different exercises for each session. In this session the exercises we completed were:
- squat ball thrusts
- clapping press ups
- crunch sit ups
- hoola hoop
The students exercise using interval training principles. Due to a shortage of time we worked for 30 seconds, rested for 30 seconds and they did this for fifteen rounds. The time to complete this crossfit session was 15 minutes. I used the phone app called HIIT interval training timer to keep a track of the time. So energise your students, keep them fit, get them crossfit!
