In class today, we have been assessing our term one’s reading. Firstly, we self assessed our reading, then we had a peer assess our work. When we were peer assessing, students had to provide evidence to their assessors. There were some great questions being asked. We also found learning areas to focus on next term. For instance, students being able to retell what they’ve read, and the need for students to be asking questions about what they are reading. Both areas will help improve students’ reading achievement.
